Increase in US (non-immigrant) Visas Issued to Indians
The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi has published figures that show a year-on-year rise in the number of non-immigrant visas issued during this Fiscal Year (FY).
According to the release, the number of U.S. non-immigrant visas issued by the U.S. Mission to India during its FY 2011 has increased by 4.3 percent to over 490,000 in comparison with FY 2010. The U.S. non-immigrant visa category includes business, tourist, student and related visas. This FY ended on September 30, 2011.
